Last week we had a class showcasing the Oh So Succulent bundle (pages 20-21 Occasions catalogue) Wow! There is no limit to what you can do with this set! I actually had trouble narrowing down the choices for the cards and I had so many ideas running through my head. Pinterest is full of amazing Succulent creations cascading out of all sorts of pots, boxes and even tree branches.
These are the two cards we made, and we also decorated one of the clear tiny treat boxes. You can see the boxes below, I don’t seem to have a photo of my own!
I let the girls pick from a range of colours to suit their tastes and that complimented the designer series paper – Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum and Top Top Taupe. Did you know that all the colours used in our designer series papers (dsp) are listed on the back of each pack and also in the catalogue? Very handy I can tell you, there’s no need to try and match colours by guessing (especially at night time when the lighting isn’t always the best!)
This is a collage picture taken by one of the ladies, it shows that each put their own spin on their cards and I just love the results. I always get great ideas from them!
One asked if we could use the Happy Mothers Day sentiment to send a card to the UK and it just so happened that there was just this sentiment in this set – winning!
I’m sure we could spend a whole weekend playing with just this set! Im thinking pots, wreaths, frames, this list goes on. I’m currently making another 3D frame to showcase the beautiful papers.
We also talked about mixing up the colours and making our own background paper. Sometimes we can get stuck in the colours that are used in the catalogue images or the designer series papers so it’s nice to extend ourselves and create something a little outside the box. I will share that card with you next time.
I run my classes monthly and would love you to join us. April is going to be all about Easter 🐣 My full class list can be found HERE
Happy Stampin!
