Reverse Words and some glimmer paper

Reverse Words and some glimmer paper!

I have a busy day today but I wanted to ink up some new stamps – so a 5 minute card it was!

I love how easily this card came together, the image does all the talking and the slivers of glimmer paper gives it some bling. And you can always add extra layers, papers and embossing if you want to step it up a bit if you need to.

Quick, easy and fun! Great for mass production or for those times when you need a card in a hurry.

And best of all both of these items can be earned for free until the end of March. I’m definitely going to have to stock up on the glimmer paper.

Twilight Market

I had a lovely time at the All Saints College Twilight Markets last night – thank you so much to all my lovely friends and family for coming along and helping make the night a success!

The weather was perfect (yay!), it was well organised and a real credit to the school. Students were helping stall holders unloading cars, handing out cold water to the stall holders, organising the traffic and the crowds. Delicious smells, great music and loads of entertainment.

The only downside? The fudge stall across from me that called out all night – LOL.  I had to give in to temptation and I can’t say I regretted it one bit!! I did sell her a card though so it was a win-win for both of us!

Thank you, I’ll be back next year!

Lift Me Up card class

Last week our monthly classes resumed after a 2 month break. It was great to catch up with everyone and there was a lot to catch up on!

Each month I design my cards and projects around a stamp set and/or bundle. This month we played with  Lift Me Up bundle which showcased not only the stamp set and dies but also the FREE matching paper – it was a hit!

One of my lovely ladies did a picture collage for me of the cards and small box.

I run classes every month so why not come long and join in the fun? My class timetable is on my website – http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melissagifford/events

Storage, water colour pencils and stamp cases!

Did you know that Stampin Up sell empty stamp cases in different sizes? There are the DVD style cases – fantastic for our markers and water colour pencils. Wood mount cases are perfect for holding notecards, envelopes, glues, stampin dimensionals, ribbons, rhinestones, scissorsamd more!

They also make great packaging for a set of hand made cards.

A lovely fellow demonstrator by the name of Kelly Kent made up these fantastic covers for the watercolour pencils. There is enough room in these cases for a packet of pencils, an aqua painter and a blender brush. You  could even fit in a small pencil sharpener. Fantastic for taking with you to colour whenever the mood strikes!

There are also smaller half wood cases which are the perfect size for re-inkers, small punches and our candy dots.

These stack well on a shelf and are really sturdy. And they can be prettied up to match your decor.

I always like to have some spare cases as they seem to find their way throughout the house – even in hubby’s shed!

Why not purchase some for yourself?

Lift Me Up 3D sampler frame

This project has been a while in the making as I am still struggling with a sore shoulder/wrist (very frustrating 😬) but I am really pleased with how it turned out.

I first saw this on Julie Davison’s blog http://juliedavison.blogspot.com.au/2017/01/lift-me-up-hot-air-balloons-sampler.html and just loved it so much I had to recreate it. I think it’s a wonderful way to showcase the bundle and the FREE designer series paper. I’m going to have to hoard this paper I think!

What I love about it is firstly the paper ❤ and secondly the fact that it came together so quickly with the matching stamp and die set – isn’t it fun and fresh? I  love the colours and can’t seem to put this bundle down.

I bought the frame from Kmart, I think it was around $6 from memory. The sampler piece inside measures 8×8″. The sentiment comes from a set in the annual catalogue called Suite Sayings.

So what have you been creating? Do you make more cards or 3D type projects? What’s on your list of things to try?

Why not give this sampler a try for yourself?
